How I Work
For me, therapy is collaborative. My goal is to foster a spirit of curiosity so that together we can delve into past experiences and present concerns with openness and compassion. Along the way, we will explore how those past experiences affect your life right now—why certain negative patterns seem to repeat themselves, why you might find yourself playing a similar role in all of your relationships, and why your actions don’t seem to align with your intentions.
I’m particularly interested in helping you tap into your own sense of creativity. This isn’t just about pursuing creative endeavors—though that’s certainly part of it. It’s about integrating a basic sense of creativity into your everyday life. We are all storytellers, constantly telling ourselves stories about our own lives and the lives of those around us, often repeating the same narratives again and again. I believe that every moment presents an opportunity to tell a different story, to create something new.
By processing the past and exploring its impact on the present, the hope is to break free from negative patterns and cultivate a greater sense of freedom, as well as an awareness of the creative possibilities in each moment. Embracing these creative possibilities, in turn, enables us to nurture the part of ourselves that feels most alive.
